This second book is as exciting as the first. This story between Connor and Harry, absolutely has it all. Found love, lost love, best friends, bad parents, prostitution, drugs, MC Gangs, bad cops, nothing is left out. I didn't even mention ALL the HOT sex these two get into, turn on the fan....these two are in LOVE. This book also brings back Tatum, Chris, Jesse and Mark. This was great because we get to see things continue with them. This story was fast paced and the characters interaction is priceless, especially between Connor and Tate. This is an excellent second book in a series. Do not read them out of order if you can help it. It would still be good but it is more enjoyable this way. I love Conner so hard and devotion to Harry. Again(like in the first book) while I really enjoyed this story the secondary characters really make it for me. Also the interaction with Tatum and Chris was great. Enough to remind me why I like them about not too much to take away from Conner and Harry.
There are so many characters I want to see get a story, Damien, Jones, Gid, Pony ...Oh the possibilities.
The story feels organic nothing is force and the tempo is good but you do have moments that are super sweet or eye roll worthy. Doesn't take anything away from the total package.
I loved Connor and Harry's story. So much of Harry's past hurts and his challenges tore at my heartstrings. I wanted so bad to give him a hug. He was such a love it was hard not to fall for the guy. I can totally understand why Connor is head over heels in love with him. The two of them have fought so hard to be together. I feel bad for Connor having to deal with a Mother like his. It was wonderful being able to continue to see Tatum & Chris's relationship grow. I loved this book from beginning to end.
Great book 2 in this wonderful series ! This M/M series is all about the deep thought-filled characters. Last time it was Tatum and Chris, who are also in this story. This time we have Connor and Harry. Harry broke up with Connor, but didn't tell him the truth, that it was Connor's Mom that wanted him out of her son's life. If only Harry would have talked to Connor !! She is the evil bitch of all time. Harry's life was taken away as he was kidnapped and was forced into prostitution. Connor finds him arrested and filthy, no where to go, and at his lowest point. Is there hope for getting their relationship back? Connor thinks so, so he takes Harry home. There are twists and turns, rekindling of their feelings, and forgiveness, acceptance, and true love. After another kidnapping, with the evil bitch behind it, Harry is saved. These men are perfect for each other, and neither can do without the other. It isn't quite over until the investigation turns up new evidence. A reviewer mentioned the use of "boy", and yes, it was used a lot for a bit in the beginning, and a few times later, but I understood it, so it didn't bother me. I've read many books with the D/s theme where the smaller man in the relationship, the sub, is referred to as boy, and only in a sweet, loving term. It's not used in a condescending way.
I like Ruby MacIntyre's writing, her beautiful characters, super sexiness, and interesting plots.

Wow....talk about emotional. I was a wreck reading Harry's story. To know that Connor still loved him and wanted him, made it all that more emotional and showed true love. This story picks up right where Tatum and Christopher's story left off. I really like that in a series. It makes you feel like you haven't left their world and are still in it. Harry just about broke me at every turn. Connor was a strong, amazing man. He was able to help Harry heal emotionally, and be there for every aspect of his needs. I was blown away by the love and trust that was being given. I am so caught up with these men. I enjoyed that it wasn't just about Connor and Harry, that we also get to see how Tatum and Christopher are doing, as well as more from Jesse and Mark. I don't know how Ms. MacIntyre can out do herself again, but I am definitely there to see where she takes us. This is a must read series.
Really enjoying this series. I loved this just as much as book one in the series.
I was looking forward to Connor's story after reading Forging Bonds. I was not disappointed! I love Connor. He and Harry are perfect together.
This is a great cast of characters. And the author does a good job of getting you into the characters head. I thought her depiction of Harry was wonderful.
It was great seeing Tate & Chris' relationship progress. I like that the book didn't just focus on Connor & Harry but also Tate & Chris and Jesse & Mark. Again, this is a great cast of characters. We were introduced to some new characters I hope to learn more about. And I liked the introduction of the MC. I hope we see them again as well, especially Pony.
Looking forward to more of this series. And I'm going to give a shout out to these book covers, they're absolutely beautiful!
I really like Connor and Harry's story. It was another wonderful read. Again I highly recommend this book. Now to read book 3.
I really enjoyed this story. The characters were real, flawed, but oh so lovable. The writing was good and flowed with ease. I absolutely adored Book 1 in the series, so I was thrilled to see a return of those characters (Tate and Chris).
The only reason this book doesn't get a 5 star rating from me is because there were a few parts of the story that confused me. (No spoilers) Some things didn't seem like they were explained enough and felt a bit rushed. However, I really liked this story, regardless. The amount of love and adoration the author had for her characters could be felt through every page. As a reader, that is very much appreciated and refreshing to see. Very good job.
